Ron Billz brings NYC out during his album release party for his new project "SEVENTH"

The CEO of JJ Public Relations Consulting Agency, Jasmine Jones, put together a fire listening event for Harlem’s emerging artist Ron Billz as he dropped his new project, “SEVENTH”. NYC’s elite media professionals gathered together to listen to how versatile his 7-song project is. Ron has something for everybody ranging from an up-tempo club banger “Best Friend” to a smooth kind of vibe “Can’t Miss”. Ron Billz's music can be found on all music platforms. Join me below to get to know him a little more.
The title of your project is called “SEVENTH”, tell me about how that came about?
I’m from Seventh Ave in Harlem. So I just really wanted to create a project that when you come to Harlem and you touch Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard or 7th Ave that’s what you think of. I just want to represent my hood.
Adam Clayton is one of my favorite records on your project, how was that created?
That record really came from just hearing the beat. I like making music with content that has substance. I wanted to give that first record on my project a whole entire summary of who I am as a person and where I come from. That is what’s behind it – the real.
What is one word that you would describe your music and why?
Fresh… My music is its own vibe and I don’t think I sound like anyone.
Who are some of your icons that you look up to?
Jay is a big one and 50 is too, those are just a couple to name. There is a lot. I take something from everybody, to be honest. I am just a student of the game.
What is one misconception that people have about being independent or being in the industry?
The industry is not what it’s all cracked up to be. If you are signed or independent you still need to have hustle for yourself so nobody can stay that they put you in position. You want to put yourself into positions that you want.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Out of here! #Factamundo
