“They” say money doesn’t buy happiness but for most people – money is the key source of our livelihood. It helps us take care of our families and ourselves to the best of our ability. We make daily financial decisions on what to eat, where to go to put clothes on our backs, and where to go on vacation. If you are spending your money, saving it, and or investing it, the choice is yours. Over the last few years, cryptocurrency has significantly influenced how and where people invest their money. It’s been the talk of the town and for most people, crypto has been used as an advocacy machine for people to use their voice and take a stand on where they see the world in the future.

On June 5th, “Stand With Crypto” put together a free rally/concert at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City to discuss the importance of crypto and its value in the upcoming election. Steven Fulop, the Mayor of Jersey City, stated, “This moment is bigger than tonight. New Jersey has changed because of innovation, involvement, and investment. Crypto is an important part of the future of this country”.

If you came out to understand the importance of crypto, or to use the power of our voice, it became evident that the room was jammed packed for entertainment purposes.

Danielle Balbuena, who uses the stage name 070 Shake, came out for her set and did not disappoint. With her passionate and raspy voice and rock-and-roll energy she engaged with the crowd and let us know what she was made of. Her fans went bar for bar in the crowd as she performed some of her greatest songs, “Into Your Garden”, “Wine and Spirits” and “Guilty Conscience”. “It just makes me feel good playing here. To come from Jersey and to be able to make music and perform here – it was an easy choice to play here tonight”.

It was time for Detroit’s own, Grammy-nominated artist Big Sean to hit the stage and the energy in the room was like none other. The second DJ Mo Beatz dropped the beat to “Paradise” Big Sean ran on stage and the crowd went insane. He performed some of his iconic hits like, Mercy, Clique, My Last, Don’t Like, Blessings, and of course IDFWU. His fans didn’t miss a beat and hung on to every single word that touched the mic. Big Sean is arguably one of the greatest rappers alive, I know he is on my top 5 lists, but what separates him from the pack is how he can connect with his day 1 supporters who have stayed with him through his entire journey. His effortless flow and punch-line packed freestyles is just a small part of who he are as a rapper.

His passion for the art of music, his creativity, and his ability to connect to his audiences are at the forefront of his success. He makes his fans feel like they care and he humanizes himself by simply living a lifestyle of “peace” and “blessings”.

During his performance, Big Sean opened up by saying, “I realized that life is very short. During Covid, we lost a lot of friends and family. Make sure you love life to the fullest and make sure to surround yourself with people you love. Everyone is not supposed to be in your life forever. People ask me how did I find my purpose in life and I tell them your purpose is whatever you are doing on purpose. It’s about whatever makes you feel good so please enjoy life as much as you can”!

We know that Big Sean is a new father and just dropped a book, Go Higher: Five Practices for Purpose, Success, and Inner Peace but we are most certainly anticipating new music and can not wait for him to go on tour.
