HOT 97's "Who's Next" Showcase returns with performances by SwaVay, Young Devyn, & Armani White

Short N Sweet Ent

After a long hiatus, HOT 97’s “Who’s Next” showcase retuned this past Wednesday, October 26th at Blue Midtown with performances by Def Jam and 4th & Broadway artists SwaVay, Young Devyn, and Armani White. HOT 97’s series of “Who’s Next” showcase is legendary in New York City. It has been an incredible platform that has created a community of evolving artists to showcase their talent while providing them with the resources and tools that are needed to be successful in the music industry.

Before heading in for showtime, attendees had their own entertainment outside and witnessed 3 strategically placed street teams that displayed their love and support for their favorite artists which were lead by Def Jam’s own musical marketing expert Shampoo. With a combination of drinks by D’USSE and heavy-hitting music by DJ Drewski and DJ Taj, the “Who’s Next” Showcase was off to an incredible start. HOT 97’s own Pretty Lou, TT Torrez, Mia Belle, and L’Oreal Luchi were in attendance but that did not stop the main performers from showing why they are the next big thing.

First, up to the stage was Atlanta-based artist SwaVay who showed the crowd his versatility as an artist. With his sound evolving over time, SwaVay switched between singing and rapping and gave everyone a sneak peek into his new 15-track project “Almetha’s Son”.

Next, on the docket was Brooklyn’s own Young Devyn who has proven time after time that her music is nothing to play with. During her high-energy performance, Young Devyn entertained everyone with tracks from her new project, “Baby Goat 2” and had the crowd on tilt when she brought out the King of “Gyalis” Capella Grey to perform their latest song “Cruise Control”.

Before the evening came to a close, West Philly’s own Armani White hit the crowd with his viral TIK TOK song “Billie Eilish”. With fan participation, Armani White gave a young girl a chance to rap some of the lyrics to his song, and immediately everyone was hooked. Yes, his hit speaks for itself but Armani White came strong with a freestyle and reminded everyone that he has more new music on the way.

We are all excited to see how everyone’s future will play out and we will remain to support good music. Continue to follow hot97whosnext for future shows.

Until next post... Coach Tay
